Important mentions:
In 1958, 1999 and 2004, Mont Ventoux was climbed in a 21,5 km individual time trial.
The top 50 doesn't include time ascents from 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2005 editions of the Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré because of the lack of the data.

  2. When anyone asks why is/was a cyclist great then the question of doping is part of the thought. Even now. The top cyclists have all had questions asked - I know of no serious allegations against Wladimir Belli but David Moncoutie stands out in this top 20 as 'Mr Clean' with another entry for Andy Schleck - awarded the T de F after Contador was 'removed from glory'. So 3 out of 20 - I think your point stands!
